Evil Dead: Burn (2026)

The film opens with Joseph Price (Hunter Doohan) studying research left by his grandfather, Benjamin, who investigated the Necronomicon and a secret group called the Circle of the Wise Men.

Meanwhile, two fishermen (Jared and Leo) are brutally killed and possessed at a nearby lake by Jessica (Greta van den Brink), a Deadite tracking the family. Alice joins the Price family—including Joseph, Susan, Edgar, and Grandma Polly—at their remote home. The family dynamics are already strained by grief, hidden tensions, and past domestic abuse.

Jessica tracks the family because Joseph's writing and Benjamin's artifacts (specifically the Kandarian dagger, which can permanently destroy Deadite forces) draw the demonic entity. As the unholy forces are unleashed, family members are possessed one by one into bloodthirsty Deadites, turning the gathering into a massacre.

Alice discovers the Kandarian dagger, fights back against her possessed in-laws (including Susan and a resurrected Will), and ultimately burns down the family house. At a construction site final confrontation, she rejects a possessed vision of Will and crushes his head, finally breaking free of her past trauma. Alice is rescued as the sole survivor, marked by survival trauma as the demonic threat lingers.
